He gallantly served his country in the Army retiring with the rank of captain. After returning from his military service Frank received his law degree and worked as a corporate attorney for the Budd Company until his retirement. Frank loved his work as a lawyer, and made good on his self-promise upon retirement to assist, pro-bono, those in need. Frank was an avid historian and reader, with a particular fondness for science fiction. He was straightforward and dignified man but offered a sly sense of humor. He was the original “McGyverâ€; with the use of enough Velcro and duct tape, he could apply the most resourceful fixes to almost any electronic gadget. Frank enjoyed travelling around the world with his adored wife and best friend, Barbara. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.
Surviving are his three children, Frank Scott Perkin III, Robert Norris Perkin (Louisa), Elizabeth Perkin McQuillen (Charles); seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Samantha, Timothy, Bill, John, Robbie, and Tyler. He is also survived by numerous extended family and close friends.
Per Frank’s wishes, final disposition will be cremation. In lieu of a memorial service, Frank would hope that friends and family take themselves out to enjoy time together and maybe a good burger.
