Gary D. Franks

Gary Donald Franks was born in Detroit on April 9, 1963 to Carole (nee Merrifield) and Donald Franks. He entered into rest on August 23, 2019 at the age of 56. Gary was a fantastic cook; barbecue was his specialty and he was always looking for a new recipe to try. His daughter Lily meant the world to him and they enjoyed playing Donkey Kong and other video games together. Working with computers was how Gary kept himself on his toes and always active. When he wasnt cooking or spending time with his family Gary could be found out on the golf course enjoying the fresh air. He is predeceased by his father Donald and brother Christopher. Gary leaves behind his beloved wife of 23 years Diane, and his dear daughter Lily. He will also be missed by his mother Carole (John) Zeldman, and his sister Lynn C. Burrick. He is the treasured uncle to Kyle, Neil, Brendan, Patrick, James, Sarah, Katie, Alyssa, and Matthew. Funeral services will be held for Gary at 12:00pm, on Friday August 30, 2019 at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Rd., at Masonic (13 Mile) Warren; Pastor Dwight Murphy will to officiate. Following the funeral a committal will be held at Clinton Grove Cemetery, in Clinton Township. A visitation will be held on Thursday August 29, 2019 from 3:00pm until 8:00 pm.
