I was so sorry to hear of Gerry's passing. Although, I did not know him that well, I feel like he was a freind of mine. Through the eyes of Joan and the beautiful stories of their life, I know he was a wonderful man. I am sure he will be greatly missed. May God bless all of you through this difficult time. Patricia

Gerry was a friend, my best friend for over 20 years. Our experience as broadcasters brought us together. I had worked as a newsman in small radio and TV markets. Gerry had been a top radio personality in Detroit. We had both moved into corporate communications when we met, both of us looking for our next professional opportunity. We became friends right away and came up with the idea for a new TV show about Baby Boomers called Boomers Plus. Gerry was the on air talent and I was the producer. We videotaped several pilot programs that showcased Gerrys interviewer skills. Two of his broadcasting heroes, Steve Allen and Dick Cavett, would have been proud. While Gerry continued working in TV and radio commercials, he discovered a new outlet for his extraordinary talent: voicing audio books. He was an incredible talent, becoming all the characters in the books he read... think Robin Williams in the scene from Aladdin when the Genie morphs into dozens of different characters while singing, "You ain't never had a friend like me." Like the Genie, Gerry morphed into the characters of the books he read... a truly amazing talent. And, like the Genie sang, I never had another friend like Gerry... sincere, caring, candid, child-like, funny all rolled into one wonderful person who made me smile, laugh and think. We both liked to do all three, which is why we were friends. Gerry's wife, Joan, and my wife, Amy, also became friends who shared many good times like at our daughter Lauren's high school band concerts, her senior recital at the University of Michigan and her wedding. We also enjoyed the time with Gerry, Joan, their children and grandchildren at their cottage in Port Huron. In my many conversations with Gerry over lunch, he often talked about his family and how much he loved everyone. Whenever I think of Gerry, I smile, as I'm sure anyone who knew him does as well. The world needs more smiles, which is why you'll be missed Gerry.

Jerry was a wonderful man,husband, father and family member. He was always pleasant and fun to be with. He will be greatly missed.

Gerry was a very wonderful man, he had a great sense of humor and always fun to be with. He was a loving husband and father . we will miss him very much.

Oh the wonderful memories of times shared with Gerry and Joan! What a delightful, intelligent man! His sense of humor was unparalleled. He is missed!
