Geraldine Frances Meldrum

Geraldine F. Meldrum age 94 went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Sept 18, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Robert for 66 wonderful years. Loving mother of Thomas (late Patricia), Bill (Jessica), Jan, Mary (Jack), Sharon (late Galen), David (Sally), Carol, and Ann (Jim). Also adored by 18 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and cherished by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents August and Lillian Grubby, as well as her 7 siblings, Lillian, Irene, Evelyn, Virginia, Rita, Clare and Margie. She was blessed with many beautiful friends, Marguerite, Vicki and Irene who will miss her dearly, as well as her most recent friendships while living at the American House Residence.

Some of Geri’s most cherished times were our annual Meldrum family summer trips to northern Michigan (Sugar Loaf Resort) her favorite times were playing golf and gathering for our famous outdoor fish cookouts. This 40-year tradition made our entire family the close family that we are today and Geri & Bob’s legacy will live on through the special memories we made and will continue in their honor. Geri also had an amazing faith in God, devoting time to listening EWTN and the Catholic channel. Also praying her daily Rosary and following of various spiritual faith leaders, including Mother Angelica, Blessed Solanus Casey, and her patron Saint Anthony.

She truly lived a full life blessed by God. Geri’s family and friends are testament to her life and how she lived - and her many stories will live on through them.

Mass will take place Friday, September 23, 2022 at 12:00 PM, St. Joan of Arc Church at 22412 Overlake St, St. Clair Shores, MI 48080; with instate to begin after 11:00 AM.
