
Jim was born on August 25th, 1928 in Saginaw, MI. He was the son of the late Marie and Leonard Conley and brother to the late Dorothy Miller.
He graduated from the University of Michigan Law School in 1953. He had a successful law career with the Chrysler Corporation as an attorney specializing in employee benefits and labor contract negotiations.
He married Jean (Clarke) Conley, his middle school sweetheart from Saint Mary’s in Saginaw, MI in 1951. They were married for 63 amazing years. They lived in Grosse Pointe Woods, MI for 55 years and were long-time parishioners at Our Lady Queen of Peace. Together, Jim and Jean raised 9 children: Martha Muss, Kay Casinelli (Mike), Tom (Joy), Mark (Barbara), Laura Roberts (Barry), Janie Neuenfeldt (Joe), Amy Loeffler (Craig), Anne Zurcher (Craig), and David (Pam). They were blessed with 29 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Jim will always be remembered as a kind, humble, and generous man. He enjoyed spending time with all his family, reading, traveling, and visiting his Higgins Lake cottage. His grandchildren will remember boating at Higgins Lake, candies on top of the fridge, and their support at various school and sport activities.
He will be forever missed.
