James E Klem passed away on September 6, 2024 at the age of 94. He was born in Grosse Pointe, Michigan on March 25, 1930; son of Roman and Ann Klem. After high school James served proudly in the United States Air Force as an aircraft engine mechanic during the Korean war. James was very handy and excelled in his career as a rough carpenter.
James married Josephine Lopetrone on October 14th, 1972. They had a wonderful 48 year marriage and he always referred to her as “His Bride”. He grew up with a large family of 8 siblings. In their spare time the couple loved to go on cruises and spend time in Arizona with Alfred and Tina and many cousins.
Mr. Klem is survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 15 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave., at Vernier Rd., Grosse Pointe Woods. He will lie instate on Monday, September 16 from 9:30 am until 10:00 am Mass at St Paul of Tarsus Church, 41300 Romeo Plank Rd, Clinton Twp.
