Jason Fisher passed away peacefully on January 22, 2026, leaving behind a life filled with courage, laughter, friendship, and love. He was born on May 25, 1977, at Providence Hospital in Southfield, Michigan, the third child of Raelene Guzzardo and the late Louis Fisher.
From the very beginning, Jason showed the world who he was. Diagnosed with a lung disease at birth, he overcame incredible challenges, and that resilience stayed with him throughout his life. He grew into an active and determined young boy who loved sports and the outdoors. An avid baseball player and lifelong Detroit Tigers fan, Jason could always be counted on to talk stats, players, and great games. He was also a passionate golfer and participated in many golf sponsorships, a sport he loved as much for the friendships it brought as for the game itself. Swimming, fresh air, and movement brought him joy, and he excelled in school as naturally as he did in athletics.
After graduation, Jason proudly enlisted in the United States Navy and served his country for two years. His sharp mind and curiosity made him someone you could talk to for hours. He had a remarkable knowledge of history and politics and could discuss both with passion and insight, always eager to learn and share.
Jason found happiness in the things that made life feel full. He loved gardening and caring for plants, barbecuing for family and friends, and spending time outdoors. One of his greatest joys was going fishing on his dinghy boat, where he found peace on the water and happiness in the quiet moments. He was proud of his Italian heritage and enjoyed honoring it through food, tradition, and family. Old movies were a favorite pastime, especially John Wayne westerns, and he delighted in collecting memorabilia that reflected his love of classic Americana.
With his chauffeur’s license and adventurous spirit, Jason loved to travel and explore new places. He had a deep appreciation for old cars and cherished the Woodward Cruise, where he could admire beautiful machines and enjoy time with friends. Music was always close to his heart—especially 1950s oldies—and it was common to hear him singing along, smiling, and bringing laughter wherever he went.
Jason had a fantastic sense of humor and a fun-loving personality that made people feel at ease. He had a way of turning ordinary moments into lasting memories and friendships into lifelong bonds.
Jason’s bond with his mother, Raelene, was unbreakable, and he carried the love of his late father, Louis, with him every day. We take comfort in knowing that Jason is now reunited with his father in heaven, together again after so many years apart.
He leaves behind his loving mother, Raelene Guzzardo; step-father, Salvatore Guzzardo; step-mother, Daria Fisher; his dear brothers, James (Russell Pippin) and Jeremy (Melissa); his cherished nieces and nephews, Wilson, Maria, Carter, Sophia, and Lucy Fisher; and his beloved godmother, Doreen Korff. He is also deeply missed by the many friends whose lives he touched with kindness, laughter, and loyalty.
Though our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for the life Jason lived, the strength he showed, and the love he gave so freely. His memory will remain forever in the stories we tell, the songs we sing, and the quiet moments when we feel him near.
