Jeanne B. LeRoy

Jeanne B. LeRoy age 87 died peacefully on September 30, 2008 at St. John Hospital in Detroit after a brief illness. Jeanne was born in Detroit, Michigan; the daughter of the late John and Marguerite Snider. She married Willmot LeRoy in 1943. Jeanne was a graduate of Southeastern High School in Detroit. Her career as a bookkeeper included working at the United Foundation, Bundy Tubing and Versical Insurance Agency. Her hobbies included playing bridge, caning chairs, gardening, travel and the family cottage at Sand Point near Caseville. Jeanne was the beloved wife of the late Willmot. Dear mother of Wilma McSkimming and John (Valerie). Grandmother of Andrew McSkimming (Gillian) and Scott McSkimming (Katie). Great-grandmother of Erin, Meaghan, Jenna, Maggie and Tommy. Memorial visitation will be from 2-8 pm Wednesday at the A. H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave. at Vernier Rd, Grosse Pointe Woods. A memorial service will be 2:00 pm Thursday at St. Michael Episcopal Church, 20475 Sunningdale Park Drive, Grosse Pointe Woods. Rev. Marianna Gronek will officiate. Inurnment will be at White Chapel Memorial Cemetery in Troy. Memorials to American Heart Association, 3816 Paysphere Circle; Chicago, IL 60674 would be appreciated.
