Jerome "Buck" Buckman, age 85, passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2014. Owner of Buck's Service since 1962, member of the Eastpointe Lions Club, Knights of Columbus, Marine Corps League, VFW Shafer Rachelle Post, American Legion, and a proud member of "The Chosin Few" Korean War and Veteran of the US Marine Corps. Beloved husband for 63 years of Grace. Loving father of James A. Sr. (Judy), Jerry (Kim), John (Fran), Jeff (Michelle), Sharon Borrocci (Carl Popko), and Susan Hebert (Jennifer Landstrom). Cherished grandfather of Hollie, Robin, Ricky, Jessica, Allie, John Jr., Angela, Krystina, Nicole and step grandfather of Brian (Lisa) Danbert, Scott Danbert, and Kim Cumberworth. Great-grandfather of 12. Predeceased by loving grandson James Jr. Also survived by a brother Roy, sisters Connie (Tony) Reale, Joyce (Sam) Maltese, Marion (Tom) Jones, Barbara Soave, Pat (Jerry) Gunsch, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation Friday, May 23, 2014 from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Avenue at Vernier Rd., Grosse Pointe Woods. Lions service 6:45 pm and Rosary 7:00 pm. Instate Saturday, May 24, 2014 from 9:30 am until time of Mass 10:00 am at St. Basil the Great Catholic Church, 22860 Schroeder, Eastpointe. Memorials to the Wounded Warrior Project would be appreciated.
