John A. Morin

John A. Morin was "Bert" born on September 1, 1965 to Madaline and Albert Morin in Highland Park, MI. Bert met his wife, Shelley, at a Bishop Gallagher in 1983. They dated over the years, and enjoyed going to the boat races, going to Belle Isle. Through the years, Shelley grew to love Bert as he showed his generosity, respectfulness to others & strong leadership traits. Bert fell in love with Shelley nurturing spirit, beauty & quaint lifestyle. They got married in 2002 and had a daughter, Kaylee in 2005 respectively. Bert had always been a diligent worker. He was a dedicated employee of RCO Engineering where he dutifully served for 30 years. He poured his heart and soul into his work. Bert enjoyed the pool, squirting everyone with the squirt guns, he was a prankster. He always said he had too many women in his life, but he loved them all. He always made the biggest bonfire. He loved the outdoors especially his back yard which he called the back 40. He enjoyed going to the Hamtramck festival. Bert was a loving husband, father, brother and son. He was an amazing individual who positively impacted the lives of everyone he met. He was the life of the party. His attention to every detail was legendary, regardless of how long it could take. Precision, accuracy and accountability are only a few of the words you could use to describe his character. Bert departed this life on November 21, 2015. He was preceded in death by his Father Albert and Mother Madeline. He is survived by his devoted wife of 32 years, Shelley; his daughter Kaylee; sister Debby (Kevin) Ksiazek; and Aunt Donna Zambon. He also leaves to cherish his memory mother-in-law Janice and father-in-law Bob; his special niece Aliyah and nephews Anthony, Mathew and Adam; his in laws Bobby, Timmy, and Lynn; as well as a host of good friends. He will be cherished forever. Memorial Service for John will be held Friday, December 11, 7 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave. at Vernier Road, Grosse Pointe Woods. Memorial visitation will be that day from 2 to 7pm.
