John Charles Smith

John Charles Smith, age 90, passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 in Warren, Michigan. He was born on September 6, 1928 in Detroit, Michigan. He is the son of Joseph and Mary Smith. John owned and operated S and S Electronics where he sold electrical parts for televisions, radios, and all things electrical to the general public and repairmen. In his spare time, he loved to golf, watch the Detroit Tigers or any major league baseball game, and tinker with anything and everything. Beloved husband of the late Bernadette Smith. Loving father of Michael Smith, David (Tracy) Smith, Mary Pienzi, Debra DeWetter, and the late Robert Smith. Cherished grandfather of Nicole (Sean) Parrera, Andrea Smith, Brian Smith, David Smith, Sarah Smith, Kimberly Smith, Emily DeWetter, Alex DeWetter, Maria Pienzi, and the late Eric Smith. Great-grandfather of Grace Parrera, Gianna Parrera, Vincent Parrera, Jaxson Paruszkiewicz, and one soon to be great-granddaughter. Brother of Mandy (Joe) Colletti, the late Dell (Tom) Dimaggio, the late Yolanda (Norman) Lauzon, the late Matilda (Robert) Burlingame, and the late Lea (Tony) Corrado. Also survived by terrific caregiver Kimberly "Nicki" Brown, her daughter Kylie, and their dog Wes. Nicki's warmth and love she brought with her and Kylie's smile made them the newest members of the Smith family. Family will always remember Kylie and John eating ice cream, playing cards, and watching cartoons together while the dog Wes ran around. Private services are entrusted to A.H.
