Joseph A. Monte was born March 10, 1925 in Detroit and entered into rest May 14, 2012 in Detroit at the age of 87. He was the Loving husband of the late Catharine and beloved father of Peter, Joseph (Gail), Robert (Mary), Christopher (Kaoru), Mary (Greg) Morris, Loretta (Randy) Locke and the late Thomas (Patti). Joseph was dearest grandfather of thirteen grandchildren and two great- grandchildren and was also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation Thursday 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with rosary Service 7:00 pm at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack at Vernier Road, Grosse Pointe Woods. Funeral Friday at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 20955 Bournemouth, Harper Woods ; instate 9:30 am until time of mass 10:00 am with Father William Herman officiating.
