
Kathryn was born in Detroit and was a resident of St. Clair Shores.Â
Kathryn spent over 52 years serving the public at her family’s business, Variety Donut and Coffee Shoppe. She served generations of families, many of which would visit her over their lifetime. She was well known and beloved by the St. Clair Shores community. Kathryn loved her family and friends and developed friendships that lasted her entire lifetime.Â
Kathryn was predeceased by James, her husband of 62 years. Kathryn will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Jeanne (Lynn) Winkleman; the late Mary Burke; Sharon (Keith) Collins; sons James Burke, Robert (Karen) Burke; four grandchildren Erik, Ashley, Tamara, and Thomas; and six great grandchildren Rose, Chloe, Charlotte, Ryland, Macie, and Samantha.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be a private visitation at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave, at Vernier Rd, Grosse Pointe Woods on Sunday February 14th. A rosary will be offered at 7 p.m. A private Requiem Mass will be held on Monday February 15th at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church. Please follow the dress code: women are required to wear a head covering and modest dress. Men are required to wear a suit and tie. Burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township.
