Dear Anne Brian and Kevin, We were very saddened to hear about Kevin`s Death. We know you will all miss him dearly. He was a lovely man and we have very fond memories of you Anne and Kevin when we visited you in Detroit on our visits to Ronan and Stacey in M.I.. We enjoyed our conversations with him and his reminiscing. You always made us so welcome.It was great to meet up with Brian and Kevin and their families in the last number of years. To Kevin, your Mum Anne, your brother Brian and all your families, i wish to offer my deepest condolences to you on behalf of my Mum, Mary, and all of my family. I am sorry i won't get to meet your dear Father, Kevin. Hugh Brendan passed on the sad news to me today. Thinking of you all, and remembering you in our prayers.

Anne, Kevin, Brian and all our cousins. Thinking about you all and have a candle lighting for you and for dear Kevin. Kevin was always dear to us and we talked about him a lot. Anne you were always great keeping us in touch with your Christmas letters. I remember you all in Clonmany on a Sunday eve, Brian and Kevin in little navy or black blazers and about 8 and 10 years old. Then it was great to have Kevin, Vicky, Abby and Nan for Christmas and some play-acting with my girls and Marius' in Stillorgan. Then last May to meet Sarah was another bonus. Anne, Brian, Kevin and cousins, Very saddened at the death of Kevin. We are thinking of you all and praying that the Lord will be with you as you bear the great loss of a wonderful man. Kevin was the oldest first cousin on his mother's - the Harkin side of the family. I come next. I remember Kevin on his visits to our grandparents in Ballyliffin - he loved and adored them and they loved him. It was a great privilege for me to have been able to visit Grosse Pointe the past few years. Kevin and I were really connected and he enjoyed talking and reminiscing about his young days in Ballyliffin and the surrounding area, his uncles and aunts and neigbhours. I am so glad I was able to make those visits and I thank you Anne for your great welcome and hospitality. Kevin had a deep faith which he cherished and practiced all his life. One of the things he did in his retirement was make Rosary Beads to be sent to the foreign missions. The Lord will welcome him now and reward his generosity. Among his other talents, he was a skilful writer. We enjoyed regular telephone calls sharing news and views. We will miss his pleasant voice. May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.

Carmel and I and all the family send you Anne and Kevin and Brian and their families our sympathy on your loss. We heard the news from Hugh Brendan. Kevin has been always part of our lives even though he was miles away. As a small boy my mother and I were in Derry and we called to see him in the jewellery shop near the Diamond. My mother brought him up two packets of cigarettes from Clonmany,as they were rationed in Derry during the War. As a family we cherish the piece he wrote about meeting my mother for the first time and it hangs on the wall in our home in Clonmany. We will be with you in spirit for the next while.
