Mr. Lester B. Harris Jr., age 78, of Detroit, passed away Dec. 14, 2017 from natural causes. Beloved husband of Alice for 48 years; loving father of Sherry (Frank) Morgan, Karen (Joe) Ede, and Jane (Ron) Depner; proud grandfather of 10 and great grandfather of 8; also surviving are several nieces and nephews and inlaws; he was preceded by 3 sisters. Lester served in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam era and retired from Thornapple Valley and Peske Meat Products. Lester enjoyed tinkering, taking things apart, watching movies with his wife especially Star Trek, he liked music, jokes, and his dog, Pepper. The family will receive friends Wednesday, 2-8 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral home, 32000 Schoenherr at Masonic (13 1/2 mile) Warren, rosary 7 pm at the funeral home on Wednesday. Service Thursday at noon at the funeral home.
