Lillian Mitchell

She was predeceased by her parents Gust and Calliope, brothers and sisters in law, Michael and Patricia Mitchell and James and Marya Mitchell. Nephews Michael A Mitchell, Gary Nicholson and Kenneth Mitchell predeceased her as well.

She is survived by nieces Cheryl (Randy) Mayer, Elaine (Bernie) Smith and nephew Michael (Shelley) Mitchell, many great nieces and nephews and extended family.

During her retirement Lilly spent her time attending church, socializing with friends, attending Tigers’ games, enjoying meals at restaurants and shopping at Macy’s. When her health declined, it was her positive attitude and bright personality that sustained her. She will be dearly missed. As Lilly would say, “Well, that’s my story…”

A visitation for Lillian will be held Monday, February 20, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at A. H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave, Grosse Pointe Woods, MI 48236. A visitation will occur Tuesday, February 21, 2023 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 21800 Marter Rd, St. Clair Shores, Michigan 48080. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 21800 Marter Rd, St. Clair Shores, Michigan 48080.
