Linda Gayle Friday was born on October 10, 1945 in Greenville Alabama, the daughter of Jerry and Christine Free. She settled in Michigan in her younger years where she remained an active member of the community throughout her life. Gayle entered into rest on March 6, 2020 at the age of 74.
Gayle was a kind woman who had a heart of gold. She loved to laugh and her sense of humor was something her friends and family will always remember along with her outspoken nature that charmed everyone she met. Gayle was also an avid crafter and often arranged flowers into vases and crocheted. She even spent time teaching her granddaughter to crochet, a hobby she still enjoys today.
Family was the most important thing to Gayle and she cherished every moment she spent with her daughters and her grandchildren. They all fondly remember Gayle’s love off coffee, and time spent talking to her while she took a smoke break. The Relay for Life was also something very near and dear to Gayle’s heart, and she participated every year with her daughter Debra.
Gayle leave behind her daughters Debra (Michael) Haynes, Tammy Haeske, Cynthia (Michael) Mead, and Jennifer (Randy) Green. She is the cherished grandmother of Kathleen Howell, Malissa Haynes, Michael Haynes Jr., Tyler Cash, Michelle Wood, Jenna Kulbertis, and Olivia Green, and great-grandmother of Hayley, Lindsey, Emme, Derick, Delilah, Kaiden, Jillian, Dean, Elena and Dexter.
Funeral Services for Gayle will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday March 13, 2020 at A.H. Peters funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Rd. Warren (at Masonic). Visitation will be on Thursday 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm
