

Lorraine M. Schultz, age 86, died peacefully at her home on March 26, 2015. She was born in her parents home in Detroit on March 21, 1929, one of five children. Lorraine graduated Southeastern High School in 1947. At her sister' wedding reception held at the VFW Bruce Post, she met Jerry Schultz. They were married at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in 1949. Lorraine was a homemaker and enjoyed caring for her family. She enjoyed cooking, babysitting her grandchildren, crocheting, golf, bowling, casino trips, euchre and pinochle. Lorraine was a generous person and gave of her time and motherly advice. She was a patient, tolerant woman who had a great sense of humor. Lorraine was a Lioness at the Harper Woods Lions Club and a founding member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Harper Woods. Lorraine is survived by her husband, Gerald; their three children, Michael Schultz (Linda), Maureen Tanner (Ken) and Michele Merrifield; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter and one surviving sister, Marie Ammar. Visitation for Mrs. Schultz is scheduled from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the A. H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Avenue at Vernier Road in Grosse Pointe Woods. The Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 o'clock Sunday evening. Her body will lie instate at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 21620 Greater Mack, St. Clair Shores from 9:30 a.m. Monday until mass begins at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township.
