Louise MacLachlan

Louise started her career working as the executive secretary to Mayor Jerome Cavanagh in the city of Detroit in 1962. She then went on to work for Judge John Gillis at the newly formed Michigan Court of Appeals from 1965 to 1992. After her retirement, she and her husband Donald moved from Grosse Pointe Shores to Walloon Lake. In 2014 she moved back to Grosse Pointe to be near her grandsons and other family members.

Louise was predeceased by her parents, her beloved husband Donald in 2000, and her sister Mary Silver in 2019. She was proud of her son Andrew and adored her grandsons Conor and Ian. She is survived by her siblings Joseph (Joann) Donahue and Kathleen Donahue and many nieces, nephews and Godchildren.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 20th at 10:00 AM at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 467 Fairford Rd, Grosse Pointe Woods. Her family will receive guests at 9:30 AM.
