Margaret C. Collins, age 78, died with her family by her side during a spectacular sunset on April 14, 2016, at St John Macomb Hospital, Warren. Margaret was born December 15, 1937 in Detroit to the late Harold and Margaret ('nee Adiska) Reed. Margaret was much more than just a homemaker, she was "born to raise babies" as she use to say. Margaret served many a funeral luncheon for the Eagles, where she also was a member. She volunteered for the Mothers Club at the Boys and Girls Club Holden Building in Detroit and was also a long-time volunteer for Meals on Wheels. She was a devoted Detroit Tigers, Redwings and Lions fan. Margaret used her seamstress skills to make countless doll dresses, quilts, etc. for charity events. She was the creator of some of the most memorable Halloween Costumes for all 8 of her children and many of her grandchildren. Her cooking and baking skills were enjoyed by her family, many bake sales and neighborhood events. Few have yet to figure out how to successfully clone her infamous white icing, or her delicious Thanksgiving stuffing. Her sense of humor and wisdom will be truly missed. Beloved wife of Gerald. Dearest mother of Gerald Collins, Ronald (Teri) Collins, Margaret Marie (the late Robert) Hebeler, Theresa (Doug) Camburn, Thomas (Beth) Collins, Linda (Michael) Bolas, Christine Creel and Michele Collins-Muldoon. Loving and proud grandmother of 21 and 3 great-grandchildren plus one due in May. Dear sister of Leona (Ralph) Vitale, Patricia (the late Jim) Coppedge and the late Harold (the late Gloria) Reed.
