Margo Vrahnos (nee Gianoplis) was born in Detroit Sept. 18, 1941 and was raised along with her sister by their mother, Mary Gianoplis. She passed away Nov. 17, at Windemere in Warren with her family at her side. As a young woman, and all through life, Margo was very easy going and always made the most of everything life brought her way. She had many dear friends and considered all of them her "best" friends. She put as much love into her friendships as she did her family, and would do anything within her ability to lend a helping hand when needed by friends, family, and at times random people with whom she may have crossed paths. She would often say her biggest and most proud accomplishment was raising her children with her late husband, Christos, stating they are her strongest love and reasons for everything in her life. She is survived by her children; Seia LaDuke (hus. Jim), Kosta Vrahnos, Mary Faur (hus. Darryl), Helen Justice, and Christina Vrahnos. She is also survived by her sister, Zorine Manos. "Rest in Heavenly Peace, dear Mother. You are loved as a true friend and family by many, to the letter, But as a loving Mother and mentor, to your children, there is none better." Visitation for Margo will take place Sunday (11-19-17) 2pm- 9pm with prayers at 6pm, at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave. (at Vernier Rd.), Grosse Pointe Woods. She will lay in state Monday (11-20-17), 9:30am until funeral service at 10am at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 21800 Marter Rd., St. Clair Shores.
