Mayer, Marie, age 85 of Sterling Heights, June 3, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Josef; loving mother of Brigitte and Walter; grandmother of Lisa (John) Gaynor, Matthew Laufer, Jonathan (Melissa) Mayer, and Michael Mayer; great grandmother of Gavin and Alivia Gaynor and Jacob and Alexander Mayer. Marie enjoyed reading, cooking, and sewing. She was an amazing cook and great baker. Every Christmas she would make hundreds of German cookies to give to loved ones. Marie also worked as a seamstress at Sears for 11 years after her children were grown. The family will receive friends Friday 2-8 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr at Masonic (13 mile) Warren. Mass Saturday 9:30 am at St. Blas Catholic Church, 12151 15 Mile, Sterling Heights. Instate 9:00 am.
