Marie Ferris Michaels, age 100, June 29, 2025 of Grosse Pointe Woods. Loving wife of the late Joseph Michaels. Beloved mother of Denise (William) Balke, Anthony (Clarice) Michaels and Mary Michaels. Beloved grandmother of Michele (Brad) Eickhorst, Joseph (Tracy) Michaels, Emily (Tom) Madigan, Michael (Katelyn) Balke and Madeline Michaels. Cherished great grandmother of Lanny, Sydney, Daisy, Benjamin, Theodore, Andrew, Addison and Tommy. She was predeceased by her 9 brothers and sisters.

Marie delighted family and friends with her warm smile, kind spirit and gentle wit. She had an infinite love for her family and cherished her moments with them. Marie was a graduate of Girls Catholic Central High School. Before having children, she enjoyed working at the National Bank of Detroit headquarters in downtown Detroit. She was an excellent Lebanese cook and wanted everyone who came to her house to enjoy a meal.

Visitation Monday, July 7 from 4-8 PM at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack, Grosse Pointe Woods with a Rosary at 7:15 PM. Instate Tuesday, July 8 at SS. Peter and Paul Jesuit Church, 629 E. Jefferson Ave., Detroit, MI 48226 at 11:30 AM until the time of her funeral Mass at 12 Noon.
