Marilynn C. Hogan

Marilynn C. Hogan passed away peacefully at home on April 16, 2011. She was born on August 25, 1922 in Detroit; daughter of William H. and Catherine (nee Reid) Chevalier. Mrs. Hogan served our country proudly in the United States Army during WWII as a medical technician. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and shopping. Marilynn was predeceased by her husband Donald in 1996. She leaves behind her children Margaret, Thomas (Sheryl), Linda (Daniel) Krus, Brian, James (Mary), John (Karen), and William. She adored her 11 grandchildren and 6 great grand children. She was predeceased by her son Michael. Visitation will be held on Monday from 1:00 pm until 9:00 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home 20705 Mack Ave., at Vernier Rd., Grosse Pointe Woods. A scripture service will be held at 7:00 pm on Monday. Mrs. Hogan will lie in state on Tuesday from 11:30 am until the time of the Mass of the Resurrection at St. Paul on the Lake Catholic Church 157 Lakeshore Drive, Grosse Pointe Farms. Father Mark Hamilton will officiate. Marilynn will be interred next to her beloved Donald at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Detroit, with military honors. Contributions may be made in Marilynn's memory to the Women's Memorial, Dept. 560, Washington D.C. 20042-0560.
