
Marvin Frank Dumka, age 75, of Memphis, Michigan passed away March 5, 2017. He was born on February 28, 1942; the son of Marvin Joseph and Anna Martha (nee Noreck) Dumka. Marvin enjoyed gardening, woodworking, fishing, adult coloring books and watching old movies. He also liked to take long drives to Northern Michigan including cities of Ludington, Alpena, and Port Huron. Marvin was a bingo caller for Leisure Lake in Durand, Michigan and he loved to cook. Marvin was also a professional chum line thrower and an avid QVC shopper. He often made donations to and support local Native American businesses. Dear brother of Ronald (Sue) Dumka and Martha Bradbury. Loving uncle of Paul Johnson, Linda (Don) Phillips, Douglas (Kimberly) Johnson, Gary (Donna) Johnson, Michelle (Shaine) Hadous, Jeff (Vicki) Dumka, Gregory Dumka, and the late Terry (Sarah) Johnson. Everyone called him "Uncle Marvin" and he is uncle to 35 treasured great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews. Marvin's family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road at Masonic, Warren. A funeral ceremony will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. A private interment for Marvin will take place at St. Michael Cemetery in Richmond, Michigan.
