Marvin Thomas Nowak was born in Detroit to Edward Thomas Nowak and Evaline (nee Corcoran) Nowak on March 4, 1922 and entered into rest October 5, 2013 in Detroit. Marvin was a loving brother, uncle and friend and lived an active life as an avid traveler, hiker and piano player. As a devout Roman Catholic his faith guided him throughout his life. He is survived by his sisters Mary Ellen (nee Nowak) Moran and Arlene T. Nowak . Marvin is also survived by his loving nieces and nephews, Thomas E. Moran, L. Martin (Laura) Moran, Patricia E. (Michael) Swanson, Mary Elizabeth (Phillip) Sivalelli and James B. (Kathleen) Moran and great nieces and nephews. Visitation Wednesday 1:30 pm to 9:00 pm with rosary at 7:00 pm at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack at Vernier Road, Grosse Pointe Woods 48236. Funeral Thursday at Our Lady Oueen of Peace Catholic Church, 20955 Bournemouth Avenue, Harper Woods 48225. Instate 10:30 am until time of Mass 11:00 am. Father William Herman will be officiating. Burial at Resurrection Cemetery.
