Lois was the sweetest, kindest, most wonderful Lady. She will be missed. We will always remember her smiling face and the nice memories of family get togethers especially at the lake in Hastings, MI. We were so blessed to know Lois and Bob when they wintered in Florida and they have been dearly missed since they stopped spending winters here. Lois was such a lovely lady and so much fun to be around. With sincere sympathy Bob to you and your family. Lois will be dearly missed and I will miss writing to her.

So many have said my thoughts exactly. The one thing I remember most about The Archer home was that everyone was welcome, everyone was made to feel like part of the family. No one ever left out, no one ever considered more important than the next one. Mrs Archer knew and understood people & especialy teenagers. I will greatly miss her, however I will also remember her best when the sun shines on my face and in the dusk of a summer evening. Love you all so much.

Lois, what a lovely lady! We've missed her here in our Florida neighborhood these past couple of years and are saddened by her passing. I'm sure she will be sorely missed by family and friends. "Grandma Lois" was my next door neighbor from the time I was born until I was 8. She and Papa Bob were seriously the greatest surrogate grandparents a girl could ask for. I have nothing but fond memories of romping through the tomato garden that they lovingly kept even summer, and the always full candy jar in the living room. Smarties, I think. Their granddaughters were always so sweet to me, and would walk with me in the summer up to Wally's do get Ice Cream. They seemed like idols... teenagers! Having neighbors like Papa Bob and Grandma Lois is what having neighbors should always be... an extension of your family. I have never experienced this anywhere else I've ever lived, but I will always compare every place to neighborhood the perfect one I grew up in. I'm realizing as I'm writing this that all of my memories of spending time with Papa Bob and Grandma Lois seem to be in perpetual summer. I feel the sun on my face, the smell of water from the garden hose and feel my bare feet on the grass. The interesting things are the memories that stand out so vividly in the midst of all the blur. I haven't seen them in years and years, but I send your family all the warmest blessings and love in this time of transition. So very sorry for your loss. While I did not know your Mother and Grandmother personally, I can tell by all the postings that she was a caring and loving person who shared her Light while here, and is leaving it to be a guide for those she loved. Grammie was my 2nd Mom. My mom died young and Lois was always there for me when ever I called. I have been getting birthday cards for close to 40 years. I have never known anyone with as big of a heart, so full of acceptance and integrity. I can't imagine that she is gone, I say with tears running down my cheek.... Cathy

Mrs Archer was like a second mother to me. The family I felt part of; my brother and sisters.I will always love as so and miss her as such. Remembering she smile and laugh will make me smile. Never forgotten. Forever loved.

We surely will miss Lois.. She was a gem.. Our hearts are heavy with her passing.. Our sympathy to Bob and her family.. We all shared many a good time and many a laugh with her.. She surely was a very classy lady..
