Mary Ellen Doucette passed away at the age of 84 on December 17, 2010 at her home. She was born in Detroit, MI on January 13, 1926 to Joseph and Eleanore King. She is the loving mother of John; and sister of Delores (Stanley) Stoyanoff, Joseph (Maxine) King. Visitation will be held on Tuesday 2:30-8:00 pm with scripture service at 7:00 pm at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Avenue at Vernier Road, Grosse Pointe Woods. Mass of the Resurrection at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 21620 Greater Mack, St. Clair Shores Wednesday 10:00 am. Mrs. Doucette will lie in state at church from 9:30 until 10:00 am. Monsignor G. Michael Bugarin will officiate. She will be buried in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Detroit. Mary Ellen loved the Detroit Red Wings, the Detroit Tigers as well as Detective Stories.She also worked for many years as a Photo Processor.
