Mary Ann Kelly passed away after a lengthy illness on August 3, 2010 at the age of 57. She was born on May 10th, 1953 in Detroit; daughter of Giovanni "John" and Rosa (nee Mannino) Bommarito. Mary loved to travel. She had visited Spain and Italy but tried to vacation in Florida as much as possible. She loved being outdoors and would always have a tan. She was a wonderful cook and a devout Christian. Her appreciation for the music of Elvis will never be forgotten by family members. Mary was the family member who would organize most of the social activities not only for work, but for family functions. As her health started failing she never complained. She was very socially active at her nursing care facility and often could not be found immediately by visiting family members. She will be missed by everyone that knew her. She leaves behind her loving children Kristin and Bryan. She was a wonderful sister to Michael Bommarito (Nancy) and Rosanne Brugnoni (Raffael). Mary Ann was adored by her father John. Her mother Rose passed away in 2009. Mrs. Kelly will lie in state at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church 21620 Greater Mack, St. Clair Shores, on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of the Mass of the Resurrection at Noon. Father Hoang Lam will officiate. Her burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Detroit. Contributions may be made in Mary Ann's name to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Michigan 21311 Civic Center Drive, Southfield, MI 48076.
