NICHOLAS WENZEL KRAUSE, of Harper Woods, passed away on Wednesday March 17, 2010, at home surrounded by his family. He was born January 14, 1919, in Detroit, owned his own insurance agency for 40 years, and retired in 1989. Proud veteran of the Army, WWII. He is survived by his loving wife Alice (Leithauser) of 64 years, daughter, Karen (Jim) Frederick, sons, Kenneth (Elaine), Gerald (Linda), David (Janine) and Michael (Kimberly). Nick was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed for his sense of humor, integrity and the love he had for his family and friends. Visitation at A.H. Peters Funeral Home on Friday March 19th from 1 to 9 pm. Church services will be held on Saturday March 20th at Our Lady Queen of Peace, Harper Woods, at 10 am.
