Nina Mary Durka

Nina Mary Durka, age 86 of Warren, died Saturday, June 9, 2012. She was born on Monday, April 4, 1926 to Walter and Marie (nee Destasi) Frontera in Detroit, Michigan. Nina was a huge Tigers fan. She loved going to Tigers games and went as often as she could. She also enjoyed making crafts and giving them as gifts. Nina will be remembered very fondly as a great cook. She would often cook delicious family dinners in which each person would have their favorite meal prepared specifically for them. Most of all, Nina adored her children and grandchildren. They were her life and she devoted much of her time to taking care of and spoiling them. Nina is dearly loved by her family and will be deeply missed. Loving mother of Helen (Sam III) Corrado, Lawrence (Kimberly) Durka, and Steven (Sheryl) Durka. Proud grandmother of Nina, Sammy IV, and Ava Corrado, Karen and Lawrence Jr. Durka, and Chenelle, Steven II, Casey, and Seth Durka. Dear sister of Lorraine Frontera and Anthony Frontera. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be held Monday, June 11, 2012 from 2:00pm until 9:00pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr at Masonic(13-1/2 Mile), Warren. Funeral Mass Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at 9:30am (Instate 9:00am) at St. Martin De Porres, 31555 Hoover Road, Warren.
