

Norman W. Rafinski was born September 11, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Edwin and Lydia (nee Jaenke) Rafinski. He was a 60 year resident of the city of Fraser. Norman entered into rest on October 22, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Norman was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corp. where he served as a carpenter and as a Motor Transport Coordinator. He spent a good amount of his time stationed at Camp Pendleton, in Ocean Side California and was even promoted to Corporal shortly before his discharge. An avid outdoorsman, Norman loved to spend time out in Algonac and Memphis, Michigan where he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Among his favorite things to hunt were deer, birds and small game. He also enjoyed fishing for walleye and salmon. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 63 years Dorothea, his dear children Karen Silverthorn (Bruce), and Norman Rafinski (Cindy). He was also the treasured grandfather of Andrew (Laura), Patrick, Ryan, Corinna (Matt) and Nathan. Norman is also predeceased by his parents and sister. Funeral Services for Norman will be Friday, October 26, 2018 at 10:00 AM at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Rd. Warren, MI 48088. A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment at Cadillac Memorial Garden East Cemetery.
