Patricia Mullaney

She was born August 4th, 1935 in Grosse Pointe Farms, MI

Pat was the beloved mother of Lisa (Mark) Ritchie and Laure (Lee Schafer) Mullaney She is also survived by grandchildren William III and Olivia Ritchie, Andrew and Samantha Schafer, and great-grandson William IV Ritchie. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Pauline Eberlein, and her beloved husband, Chapman Cunningham.

Pat received her Bachelor’s Degree from Wayne State University, which she obtained despite working full time and raising her daughters on her own. Pat was nothing short of a force-of-nature.

Pat enjoyed spending time with her family; playing cards, celebrating birthdays and holidays, and, most recently, playing “army guys” with her three year-old great-grandson. She also loved to garden and spent many happy hours out in her yard tending to her plants. She had a love of travel and went on many memorable trips with Chapman. Pat was also very active in her church, serving on numerous boards and committees as well as volunteering whenever she was able. Pat was very social and loved to have friends over as often as possible. She especially enjoyed the many parties and outings with the Among Friends group from church. She will be missed by many.

A memorial service will be held at Grosse Pointe Congregational Church (240 Chalfonte Road, Grosse Pointe Farms) on Saturday, December 20, at 11 am
