Peggy Ann Merrick was born January 17, 1937 in Detroit and entered into rest November 1, 2013 in Grosse Pointe at the age of 76. Peggy was the dearest aunt of Kimberly Foss, Kevin (Kari) McKinnon, Margaret Holden and great-aunt of Guy Jr., Andrew, Brandon, Krystal, Garrett, Joshua, Shelby, Sahra, Megan and Noah. She is also survived by six great-great-nieces and nephews. Peggy retired from J.L. Hudson Company after 40 plus years of faithful service. She loved reading, gardening and giving to charities. She was predeceased by her parents Harry and Ruth Merrick, sister Ruth and brother-in-law Ron McKinnon. Visitation Wednesday 2:30 pm to 9:00 pm at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack at Vernier Road, Grosse Pointe Woods 48236. Funeral Thursday at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 467 Fairford, Grosse Pointe Woods 48236 instate 9:30 am until time of mass 10:00 am. Father Gary Smetanka will be officiating. Burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
