Petronella "Pat" D'Alessandro, age 88, died peacefully at home on May 16, 2012. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on September 12, 1923, the daughter of Edward and Agnes Czarnecki. Pat is the dearest mother of Lisa (Eric) Leszczynski. She was the proud grandmother to Ian, Evan, and Sophia. Pat is also survived by her sister, Judy (Bob) Stark. Pat was predeceased by her loving husband and best friend of 61 years, James "Jim" D'Alessandro. They married on July 4th, 1950 and were married until Jim's death on May 7, 2012. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm with a 7:00 pm Rosary Service at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Avenue at Vernier Road, Grosse Pointe Woods. Pat will lie in state Monday from 9:30 am until the time of Mass 10:00 am at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 467 Fairford Rd., Grosse Pointe Woods.
