How do you write an obituary and not even mention the mother(s) of his 7 children? I don't know how long he was married to Rose but he was married to my mother for almost 35 years! Sorry - but that's ridiculous!

I offer This Final Salute on behalf of the brotherhood of USS Harrison Shipmates and the Happy Harrison Families. For Ralph's later 22 years he actively joined his destroyer crew in toasts and social commemoration of his six years in the World War II Navy. I include the USS Savannah and USS Tolovana Shipmates also. To "Espy", thanks for your efforts, support, counsel, and cheer, while building the group of shipmates and family and enabling the young pals of 1943 to meet and visit. To all of Ralph's far-reaching family, thank you for sharing him with us. The USS Harrison may have seemed a remote activity but from the view inside the ring of brothers, it was huge. Thanks for gettin' her home'. Smooth sailing always, Cox'n.

Gloria, I share your loss, Ralph I will miss you and all the fond memories you shared with me about the Navy, Police Force, life ect. I'll miss the hello and good-bye hugs. You treated me like a son and I'll miss you like a father. God Bless you Gloria.

Dear Gloria, I've not had the pleasure of meeting you but I do want to send my condolences. I knew Ralph and the children when I was young. We kids all grew up together and I babysat them at times, especially Andrea. We all lived on the alley in Lake Forest, Il even John whom I married after High School. He was in the Navy and gave it 20 years before going to Seminary. I am very sorry for your loss but I understand that he is at peace now with no more pain. I especially want to send God's Blessings and Love to Roseanne, Delores, Joey, Ralph & Andrea. Although the loss of your father is difficult to bear, may it help in some small way just to know that others care... And may it bring you added peace to know that every day the comfort of your father's love is never far away. God Bless you all as you mourn.

Gloria My heart goes out to you, all the family and friends for your loss. The kids and I are so lucky to be able to call you grandma and Ralph grandpa! I only wish we could have spent more time while we had it! My only regret is that seeing Ralph so healthy and full of life at his age I took for granted we would get a chance to see him next time. Please know the kids and I are thinking of you at this time. We love you!

I met Ralph only last year when I spent 2 days at Gloria's cottage. But in the brief time, I enjoyed knowing him - he was gentle and kind! I was looking forward to seeing him again, but that will have to wait until Heaven. I am sorry for your loss and I know that Jesus will comfort you during this time of grief.

Gloria, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Ralph. He was such a wonderful, loving, caring man that was alway's so considerate and caring of others. I am so happy that the two of you married after the death of his wife and Uncle Dick, why should the two of you been left alone. I think it was the greatest thing the two of you could of ever done, you could always see the love and happiness the two of you had for eachother and look at all the happy year's the two of you shared together with family and friends. Aunt Gloria and Family, Please accept my deepest sympathy on your loss of uncle Ralph. A more fun loving man I will never know. I can never remember any of his visits that were not filled with fun and lively conversation. His witt and good nature always filled the room. I will miss him very much.

To Gloria and Uncle Ralph's family: I am so sorry to hear of Uncle Ralph's passing. He always had a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye. I'll always remember the fun summer vacations all of our families spent together at Grandma and Grandpa Espinosa's in Topeka. Fourth of July, shooting off fireworks in the street in front of their house. Sitting on the front porch listening to Uncle Ralph, Uncle Sam,Uncle Phil, Aunt Ruth, Aunt Millie and Dad tell stories about growning up in Topeka. Great memories of time spent with aunts, uncles and cousins. Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

My dearest hatchlings, My deepest sympathy goes out to every one of you at this great time of loss.I will try to clarify some oversights so friends may understand the family line. Ralph married (Rosemary Ann Tomasello) while still serving in the military, they enjoyed a 20 year young marriage Survived by their children; Roseanne, Delores, Joseph,Ralph and Andrea. He again enjoyed marriage with fondly remembered Annie B (AnnBoch) of 35 years Survived by; Charmaine and Renee. I have heard many stories of his gift & love for carpentry work, as well as his love for community. In 1999 Ralph was blessed enough to have yet a third great love in his life (Gloria) with whom he enjoyed many grand adventures right to the end. Ralph is survived by numerous grandchildren & great grandchildren one of whom carries his namesake Ralph Alfred Espinosa. This great man will be missed far beyond our horizons.

Andrea my heart goes out to you dear, I know there is the peace that comes knowing your father is no longer in pain, I know you have suffered during this time without the ability to be close to him, at his side, to hold him for just one moment,as a daughter should be able to. Dear Gloria and Uncle Ralph's children and friends, We were saddened to hear of the loss of our Uncle Ralph. He always did have great stories and a quick laugh with a sparkle in his eye. He enjoyed life and had many interests which made him an interesting guy to talk with. We will miss him.

My father of 51 years Ralph Espinosa was a man anyone would have been proud to call Son,BrotherFather,Grandfather,Uncle,Husband or Friend!Anyone who had the privilege to call him that knew they could count on him whenever they needed . Dear Gloria, Ralph was one super guy, enjoying life to the fullest, You two have been and will always be dear to our hearts. Some of the many things we'll remember are.. The smile on his face when you Married, 75th birthday, Navy reunions, Canada, and the Travels. All the beautiful times shared by two people who truly loved each other. It was always a pleasure being with you both, Ralph always had a smile and stories to tell. Thanks for sharing Ralph with us. Gloria and Family: I'm so sorry I can't be there for Ralph's Services. Please accept my sincere condolences. From the first reunion in Baton Rouge that Jerry and I attended before his passing in 1995 to those that Sandy accompanied with me after that, you and Ralph are high on the list of the lasting friendships we made that are very dear to me.

Gloria - The Navy reunions, although getting smaller in size, will never be the same. Our thoughts & prayers are with you and the family. Heaven has another angel!
