Randal Anthony Gorgon

Randal A. Gorgon, age 57, a resident of Grosse Pointe, passed away suddenly on Sunday June 4, 2017. Randal was born June 30, 1959 in Germany to Richard and Joyce. Randal was a wonderful family man. He was loyal, hardworking, and loved having great time. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and never had a bad word to say about anybody. He was a very talented athlete. Attending Eastern Michigan University he played football and baseball. After his outstanding college baseball performance he was even pursued by the Detroit Tigers. He worked as a driver for E L Hollingsworth & Co. Randal was an avid wedding dancer and was never afraid to cut the rug with his family and friends at a celebration. His love and strength of spirit will be missed. Beloved companion of Jackie Koester and her son Andrew. Loving brother to Kathy (Mark) Solt, Victoria, Tracy (Michael) Knoll, Kelly (Joe) Snyder, and Christopher. Dear uncle to Samantha (Erick) Grabman, Donny Knoll, Cortney (Chris Rosati), Derek Knoll, and Richard. Best friend to his dear dog Lizzy. Memorial gathering Friday, June 9, 2017 from 11:30 AM until time of memorial Mass 12:00 Noon at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 22412 Overlake St., St. Clair Shores, MI 48080. In lieu of flowers memorials appreciated to The Michigan Humane Society in Randal's memory.
