Robert Arthur Besler

Robert earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Detroit, and his master's and doctorate from Wayne State University. Robert inspired young minds as a teacher at Denby High School and Cass Technical High School. After 35 years of passionate service, Robert retired in 1997.

Robert enjoyed dancing with his wife, Karen, at the Metro as well as the high school proms that they chaperoned. Robert and his family embraced the outdoors by exploring the back roads, walking, and cycling. He even won trophies through his membership with the Wolverine Bicycle Club. Robert was also a member of the Schvitz Health Club in Detroit.

Beloved wife of Karen (nee Bergero). Loving father of Bryan (Laura) Robert Besler Bergero and Lauri (Scott) Besler-Kroll. Dear brother of Dawn (Ronald) Rudnicki and the late Reverend William (Judy).

Robert will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township.

Donations in Robert's memory may be made to the Michigan Parkinson Foundation, Residential Hospice, or to the family's wishes.
