Our deepest condolences to you, Mrs. Olson, and to your family. Though we only met Bob once, we instantly knew what a fine person he was. We bought the Olson family home on Emerson Street in Beloit after the death of his mother. We grew up in the neighborhood, knew Janet Olson, and long admired the house. As a young married couple we were thrilled to have such a beautiful and gracious home. That was 30 years and four daughters ago. We bought the house from Bob and Charles "Chick" on July 2. The home has always had a wonderful verve! In no small part, we are sure, to the many years of happy Olson memories. Thank you.

Bob taught me so much at Schwartz Boring during my short time there. He taught me how to enter the payroll on a computer and even tried to teach me how to read blue prints. He cared so much about all of us. He was so funny. I'm sorry I lost touch with Bob and the people there and I'm so sorry to hear about Bob's passing. My deepest sympathy to his family and his work family too. I'll never forget.

As we got to know Bob over the years you could always value his wit-intellect and appreciate his generosity as a person. And no doubt of his love for his(and our) granddaughter, Emerson, who always brought a smile to his face, no matter what she was doing. Our sincere symphathy to the Olson famly. Love, Bob & Kitty

It has been a pleasure to work with Bob for the past 39 years. He taught me a lot and was the smartest man I ever met. He was always understanding and compassionate to me in my times of need. I could always count on him. I once asked him if he would be my "lifeline" if I ever became a contestant on "Who Wants to be a Millionaire", (because, as I said, he was the smartest person I ever met). He said, "Yes". I had the priviledge of working with Bob for the past 23 years. He was a good and honorable man. Towards his employees, he was an honest and caring man whose word could be trusted. I know of many times when his kindnesses extended beyond was expected. It has been an honor to work with Bob. I will never be fortunate enough to find another like him. Though at work, Bob was quiet and professional, he could have some fun too. Years ago, I purchased a brand new Mustang. Bob asked if that car was supposed to fast. I told him it seemed pretty fast to me. As we both left the parking lot that evening, Bob said, "We'll see just how fast it really is!" He tore out of the lot in his Town Car and literally raced me down 8 Mile Road. I seriously tried to keep up but couldn't. When I finally got home, there was Bob, parked in my driveway with a huge smile on his face.

I've worked for Schwartz Precision Gear since 1984. Mr. Olson was admired by the workers in his company. He will be missed. My condolences to the family.
