Robert Joseph Pierce

Robert Joseph Pierce was born June 19, 1935 in Emmett, Michigan and entered into rest February 23, 2016 in Detroit, Michigan at the age of 80. Robert was a graduate of St. Stephen, was a Army Veteran and a lifelong member of AMVETS 121. He was the loving husband of Doreen for 50 years and beloved father of Cindy Cook, Joe Cook, Patricia (Robert) Methner and the late Sandra Hirsch-Morgan and Violet Cook and dearest Papa of Melisa, Lindsey, Michele, Malisa, Kenneth Jr., Gary Jr., Gregory, Taylor, Christopher, Ashley, Wayne, Vincent, Robert, Brian, Eric, Nicole and the late Rebecca Hilton. Brother of Helen (Paul) Vincent and the late Patrick (Ellen Jane), Bill (The late Betty), Mary Helwig and James (The late Eleanor. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation Friday 3:00 pm 8:00 pm with AMVETS White Clover Service at 6:00 pm followed by a Rosary at 7:00 pm at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack at Vernier Road, Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan 48236. Funeral Saturday; instate 10:00 am until time of Mass 10:30 am at Our Lady of Mt.Carmel Catholic Church, 10828 Brandon Road, Emmett, Michigan 48022. Father Doc Ortman will be officiating. Burial will take place at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery.
