

Robert Ziegenfelder, age 82 of Rochester, passed away March 9, 2015. He was born in Detroit on September 11, 1932; the son of Arthur and Norma Ziegenfelder. After honorably serving his country in the United States Army as a cook during the Korean War, Bob avidly pursued his education. He received a U of M Bachelor's degree for Mechanical Engineering, a Chrysler Institute of Engineering Master's degree of Mechanical Engineering and a Michigan State University Master's degree of Business. Bob utilized his knowledge of design, production and operation of machinery to hold a longtime and devoted career as a Chief Engineer at Chrysler for 35 years before retiring in 1995. In his later years, Bob enjoyed boating, playing cards with friends and attending church functions. He will be remembered for his selfless care-giving and generous nature. Beloved husband of the late Marjorie for 56 years. Loving father of Jeffrey (Deborah), Steven (Heather) and Pamela (Trent) Larson. Treasured grandfather of Trevor, Grace, Drew, Zachary, Elijah, Faith and Tyler. Dear brother of Norman (Carol) Ziegler, Paula (Gerhardt) Jaeckle, Ellen (Dr. Clare) Janis, and the late Eileen (Jack) Gallagher, Arthur (Eleanor) and Carol (Richard) Swantek. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Bob's family will receive friends on Friday, March 13, 2015 from 2:00pm-9:00pm at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr at Masonic (13-1/2 Mile), Warren. Instate Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 11:00am until time of Mass 11:30am at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, 31555 Hoover, Warren.
