
Ronald Edwin Brown, died on 5.5.2019, was born on 12.21.1933 in Pontiac, MI. Ron, the youngest of four children, graduated with a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Michigan State University in 1956. He was a member of Theta Xi fraternity. Ron was an excellent student but also enjoyed extracurricular activities; he won a goldfish swallowing contest and a Twist dance contest while attending MSU. He was also a 1st Lieutenant in the ROTC and later served in the Army Reserves for eight years. After graduation, Ron went to work as an engineer for Chrysler Missile and then, later worked for Lockheed Missile in Palo Alto, CA. Ron loved to travel; visiting all 48 contiguous states during his lifetime. He loved college football and knew the words to more than 40 fight songs, including all of the Big Ten schools. Ron is survived by his sister Jean Stanaitis; nephew David Brown; nephew Robert Brown (Cecille); and numerous great, and great, great, nieces and nephews. Ron will lie in state on Wednesday, May 8, from 11:30 am until time of service at 12:00 pm at Lake Shore Presbyterian Church, 27801 Jefferson Ave, St Clair Shores, 48081. Interment will take place at Ottawa Park Cemetery in Clarkston.
