
Ronald graduated from Finney High School in Detroit in 1964. After graduation Ronald joined the U.S. Army National Guard in 1965 and served 8 years until 1973. He was a member of the AMVETS Post in St. Clair Shores on 9 Mile road. After serving our Country he worked for the Rail Road system for 33 year before retiring in 2009. Most importantly Ronald married his best friend Karen on April 11, 1970. He had a train collection of Lionel cars he had in his basement. Ronald was an avid baseball fan and strong supporter of the Detroit Tigers. Ronald and Karen enjoyed traveling, especially to the time share at the Polo Towers in Las Vegas, Nevada. After retirement he and Karen no longer flew to Las Vegas, they enjoyed taking cross country road trips and making stops at various rail road sites and museums. They also enjoyed traveling to the Outer Banks in North Carolina. When in Vegas Ronald enjoyed playing the slot machines, but when spending time with family he enjoyed euchre and other various card games. Ronald and Karen enjoyed spending New Years Eve with his best friend Marty Derouin and his wife Patty until Marty passed away this past year.

Dear grandfather of Brandon, Bret, Brittany (Drew) Bravard, Carly Ydrogo, Jacob Ydrogo, Jordan Ydrogo, and Jayden Ydrogo and great grandfather of Mason Terry Loved brother-in-law of Janet (Vince) Calabrese, Tom Friedlund, Donna (Steve) Hines, Jim Friedlund, Susan (Bob) Briggs, and Debbie (Steve) Baab.
Visitation Thursday from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at the A. H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave. at Vernier Rd., Grosse Pointe Woods, MI 48236. Funeral service Friday 10AM at the funeral home.
