
Rosemary Adamo, age 83 died peacefully at her home on Monday, June 7, 2010. She was born in Detroit on January 10, 1927, the daughter of John and Mary Barry. Rosemary graduated from Immaculata High School (on the campus of Mary Grove College) and Providence Hospital School of Nursing. She worked for a year after graduation as a registered nurse at Providence until she started her family a year later. In 1949 she married Vincent Adamo and they enjoyed 51 years of marriage until his death in 2000. She was a wonderful mother to her seven children and her family was her life. Mrs. Adamo is survived by her children; Linda Fox (Bill), John (Connie), Peter (Gale), Paul (Krista), Mark (Joan), Greg (Elaine) and Kevin; 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Visitation for Mrs. Adamo is scheduled from 3:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, June 9 at the A. H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Avenue at Vernier Road in Grosse Pointe Woods. The Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Wednesday. Her body will lie instate at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 21620 Greater Mack at Overlake in St. Clair Shores from 9:30 am Thursday until mass begins at 10:00 am. Monsignor G.
