

Ryan A. Bendzinski, age 32, died suddenly on April 11, 2016. Ryan was born on December 26, 1983 in Grosse Pointe, the son of Robert J. and Teresa Bendzinski (nee DiGiovanni). Ryan graduated Grosse Pointe North High School in 2002 and attended Northwood University and graduated from the University of Detroit with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2007. In 2004, Ryan joined the family business; Bendzinski & Co. Municipal Financial Advisors and was an owner of the firm. The company assists Michigan municipalities in the development, sale and delivery of bond and note issues. Ryan was a passionate man who gave 100% of himself in whatever he did. He is described as a loving person who wanted to please others, welcoming, outgoing and gregarious. He was a golfer, enjoyed playing squash and loved music. He liked to putz around the house and was learning handyman skills from his stepfather, Mark. Mr. Bendzinski was a member of Gowanie Golf Club, the Detroit Athletic Club and a former member of Lochmoor Club. Professionally, he was a member of Michigan Association of County Drain Commissioners, Michigan Townships Association, Michigan Association of School Administrators, and The Bond Club of Detroit. Ryan is survived by his wife Heather; their unborn son; his parents, Robert J. Bendzinski and Teresa Bendzinski (Mark Stapleton); his siblings, brother and "Best Bud" Kevin; brother, Robby; sister, Ann Marie and stepsister, Katie Stapleton; his in-laws Eric and Kathleen Tomsej; brother-in-law, Justin Tomsej and grandparents Robert C. and Patricia Bendzinski. Also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins and his beloved Olive, a rescued shepherd mix breed. Ryan's favorite Sunday activity was snuggles with his two girls, Heather and Olive. Visitation for Ryan will be held from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday at the A. H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Avenue at Vernier Road in Grosse Pointe Woods. The Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 o'clock Friday evening. His body will lie instate at St. Paul on the Lake Catholic Church, 157 Lakeshore, Grosse Pointe Farms from 9:30 a.m. Saturday until mass begins at 10:00 a.m. Monsignor John Zenz will officiate.
