Stephanie Rochelle Gates Fish

Stephanie Rochelle Fish (nee Gates) died tragically on November 18, 2011. She was born on February 10, 1977; daughter of Terrence and Denise (nee Derifield) Gates. She grew up in the Grosse Pointe area; graduating from Grosse Pointe North High School in 1995. Stephanie began her college career at Central Michigan University and graduated from Davenport College. While at CMU, Stephanie realized how much she loved the seclusion and beauty that that part of the state offered. She maintained a residence in Lake Isabella just outside of Mt. Pleasant. Stephanie was very outgoing and would do anything for a person in need. She will be remembered for her love of life and people, and being strong willed and minded. Her biggest love in life was her four year old son Brody. Stephanie leaves behind her mother Denise Gates and her sister Sarah (Sal LaMantia) Gates. She is dearly missed by her grandmother Mildred Derifield. She was predeceased by her father Terry Gates and grandfather Weldon Derifield. Stephanie leaves behind many saddened friends and extended family members. A memorial service will be held on Sunday at 1:00 pm at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home 20705 Mack Avenue, at Vernier Rd., Grosse Pointe Woods. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm.
