Tammy Jean Clements, 55, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2018 surrounded by family. Born July 31, 1962 in Detroit, Michigan, she was the daughter of Sharon Ann Eland and the late Roger Ralph Vredenburg. As time went on, she became a big sister to six siblings; Tracy Vredenburg, Terry Vredenburg, Christopher Vredenburg, Nicole Fournier, Scott Larkins and Robert Larkins. Tammy lived her life for other people. After starting out caring for her siblings she moved on to a career in home health care and eventually began caring for a family of her own. Raising two boys, who lets just say had a knack for trouble, while her husband Edward was on the road wasnt easy but she managed and went above and beyond. She didnt just have two boys, she had a neighborhood full! She became a mom to dozens of neighborhood kids. Every kid in a half mile radius knew that they could always find food, fun and lots of love at the Clements house. Tammy filled these kids lives with beach trips, bike rides, sleepovers, and endless other memories. Tammys dedication to others didnt end when her children were grown. She dedicated herself to caring for her patients and keeping their lives as comfortable as possible. Outside of work Tammy still made sure her sons were well taken care of. From cooking them soup when they were sick to buying them underwear and socks even as grown men; she never missed a beat. Three years ago Tammys dreams became reality when she welcomed the first of two grandchildren into this world, so began a whole new generation for her to love and spoil. Tammys memory lives on in her loving husband Edward Clements of 35 years, her dearest sons James and Joseph Clements, and her beloved grandchildren Kayden and MaKenna Clements. Despite the fact that Tammy is no longer with us, you can still see her light shining in each and every one of them. She can be found in Eds kind, empathic spirit. You can see her in Jims giving nature and Joes devotion to his family. You can see her in Kaydens comforting disposition and in MaKennas stubborn attitude. Tammy may have left this earth, but what she has left behind for us is pretty spectacular. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 29, 2018 at A.H. Peters Funeral Home from 6pm to 9pm with a family hour beginning at 5pm. Memorial Services will be conducted at 12pm on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at A.H. Peters Funeral Home. Everyone is then welcome to attend a commital prayer at Roseland Park Cemetery beginning at 2pm followed by a celebration of Tammy's life at 3pm at a to-be-determined restaurant in the Royal Oak/Berkeley area. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation towards the familys unexpected funeral expenses. Donations can be made at A.H. Peters Funeral Home.
