i am so very sorry for your loss. I wish i had the right words to comfort you and take away the sorrow and grief. The journey of grief is very different for each of us and there is no time line. I worked with Tom for almost 4 years. He was the only person I could ever talk sports, race, religion, and politics with and no one walks away angry. He was a person who stood strong on what he believed, and very caring to our residents. He will be missed at our community. :-(  We will celebrate your birthday on tomorrow Tom, just how you like it with memories of you with the residents (and cake and ice cream:-)). Jenny, Madison, Brianna and Allyson, we are here whenever you need us.

Tommy my best friend, you are part of me always, The memories we have are unknown to many, The times we played every sport together, the baseball in the back yard, Basketball we made each other better, If had video we be on many highlight films. Must of broke Barbara the Kubinskis windows with baseballs basketballs dozen times. Collecting so many baseball cards, pulling  the grass from front yard when tigers won world series, kept in our top drawer till following year, playing basketball everywhere, in our room when you hit the corner of the dresser and huge egg formed above your eye, you never told mom, Every storm that came we watched in awe, the lightning bolt that knocked us down too the ground out front. when you and me played any sport we always were in sink, we knew every move we would make, We were a great duo. The memories in my heart and mind will always be there, The hurt will never go away, Selling footballs with Mike our cousin at notre dame south bend,Michigan football basketball must of watch trillion games, The Pistons game when Isiah got ball stollen by Bird, Our hearts dropped we cried. Looking over Jenny and your precious daughters, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH, Just cant think anymore, I do not want too except, and never will. You dickweed, wish you could jump on my back again and elbow job my back again. Nothing is real anymore, I know your watching, You touched so many hearts and instilled knowledge and comfort in this world. You are my soul and heart and my mind is filled with you. I am so sorry for your loss. Losing a loved one is one of the hardest burdens to bear. It really is no wonder that the Bible call death an enemy (1 Corinthians 15:26). May your cherished memories, the love and support of your family and friends and this beautiful promise bring you peace and comfort during this distressing time. Tom was one of the finest human beings I know. He was caring, dependable and honest. I was honored to have him as a friend. The world is an emptier place without him. Go Blue!

My brother, my rock, my friend, my protector...I dont know what I'm gonna do without you, I dont want to keep going without you. I will listen and honor your words you spoke to me, "keep living, keep walking even through the pain and LiVE, do everything!" I miss you , forever will miss you. Our hearts and deepest sympathy go out to Jen and daughters on the passing of a great husband and father.  God must have needed another angel and chose Tom, who truly was an earthly angel to so many. In years past we were blessed to be co-workers with Tom at the Senior Buildings in Troy. His smile, laughter, kindness, concern and friendship will always be a treasured memory. In Tom's recent years he has taught us patience and acceptance of life's adversities. Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Dear Brother, I will miss all those Basketball games we played. You raining threes like "chipwood" Tom n Rob vs Chris n Don,Best of 7 then 9 then 11. "never Quit" hundreds of battles. That was how you lived integrity,Honor and Love. Tough (Set his own broken arm at 7 yrs old) Never backed down from life, responsibility,and Love.He grew up with 7 brothers and sisters played, fought and love,He worked hard with compassion ,Teamwork and Love. He like U of M, Red Wings,Lions and Bad Boys. He played darts,football,hoops,Softball,wrestling and Polish shoes. He had great friends he loved. He like having holiday dinners.He liked Garth,John Denver,Chesney. He Loved His Mother who instilled his compassion and commitment as a single parent with her love. Then His Beautiful Girls Madison,Brianna,Allyson and Jenny Love , dedication, Love ,Love and Love.Thank You Dear brother for all the memories and the LOVE.SEE YOU AGAIN SOMEDAY

My baby Brother is gone. No words could describe the pain. I cry myself to sleep thinking of you , i wake thinking of you. I worked with Tom Balowski and he truly was one of the best. He always spoke lovingly of his wife and daughters. He will really be missed.

I didn't know Tom to well but he was the uncle to my grandsons.. I will be praying for the family.

Tom was not only a great supervisor but a great friend I told him he stopped being a boss long ago and that he was simply family he will honestly be missed

My dear friend. I have known you for approximately 38 years, from elementary school until present time. You were more than a friend, you were like a brother to me. We shared so many memories that I will always cherish. Besides being a great friend and man, I know that your world was your wife and kids. You will be greatly missed and your memories live on.

I didn’t know Tom well, through our daughters mostly. Through sleepover pick ups and drop offs and Girl Scouts. But here’s what I do know just from those short visits with him. He was a devoted father and husband who would do anything for his family. I know he will be missed by many.
