

Thomas Edward Kause a resident of Warren died after a short battle with cancer Thursday March 15, 2012 at his residence. He was born May 8, 1969 at Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio the son of Patricia and Richard Kause. Thomas earned a Bachelor of Arts in General Study and also a Bachelor of Arts in English. He met Theresa Knight and they dated for six years before getting married June 24, 2006 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, St. Clair Shores, MI. He is survived by his wife Theresa, his mother Patricia, siblings James(Lupe)Dilger, Susan Kause, David(Lisa)Kause and Barbara(Scott)Merkle, parents-in-law, Leonard and Rose Knight and brother-in-law Vincent Knight, also survived by nieces and nephews. Thomas was predeceased by his father Richard and his brother Robert Elking. Thomas loved to tinker with things in and around the house. Some of his hobbies included, making beer, bike riding on his 15 speed, walking his dogs Bailey, a lab/shepherd mix and Gonzo, a collie/shepherd mix, bar-b-queuing with family and friends, playing pool and epically playing Monopoly, in fact so much so that he dedicated a spare room in the house called the "Monopoly Room" consisting of the mini houses, hotels, cards, game tokens and more. Tom also had a large collection of kites, which he would fly with his brothers and nephews and it wasn't uncommon for them to jump into the car to track down a downed kite in the neighborhood. Visitation will be at the A.H.Peters Funeral Home 20705 Mack Ave. (at Vernier) Grosse Pointe Woods, Sunday from 2pm until 9pm. Funeral Monday at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church 21620 Greater Mack, St.Clair Shores Instate 9:30am until time of Mass 10am
