

Thomas G. Tuschak passed away on January 24, 2009 at the age 65. Tom Tuschak, teacher and assistant principal in the Lakeview Public School system from 1968-1998, died suddenly at his home in Sarasota, Florida Saturday January 24, 2009. Tom was loved by all who knew him. He was his mom's best boy, his sister's dear friend, his wife's soulmate, his daughter's hero, his grandkid's playmate, his student's protector and his co-worker's loyal colleague. Over the years he taught social studies and phys ed, coached multiple sports and ended his career as Assistant Principal at Lakeview High School from 1985 to 1998. Tom was the only two time Grand Marshall of the LHS Homecoming Parade! Tom was loved and respected for his sense of humor, his caring, his devotion to family and his life-long love of sports, especially the Detroit Tigers and Red Wings. He was an avid baseball card collector and a scion of the hobby. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Judy, his daughters Amy (Bill) Hoover, Rebecca (Dan) Radomski, Suzy (Thom) Strong; five grandchildren, his sister Sharon Theil, and many other loving relatives. Visitation Thursday 5-9 and Friday 1-9 with a memorial service 7 pm at the A. H. Peters Funeral Home 20705 Mack Ave. at Vernier Rd. Grosse Pointe Woods.
