Judy, Amy, Beckie, Suzy, Sharon and family, Our prayers are with you during this difficult time. Our greatest gift in life is to affect the life of someone else - whether it be as a soulmate, a loving father, a doting grandfather, a faithful brother or a trusting friend. Tom exemplified all of those attributes. He will be missed.

Sharon and Tom's Best Pal, Dr. Ed Emling: I knew Tom as a laughing teenager who lived on Farmbrook. Later, I heard of his professional skills through others in the business. I know that you both thought the world of him. We all live in a better world because he was here.

In Memory of My Father-in-law Thomas George Tuschak Mr. Tuschak was beloved for being so many things to so many people. I will be forever proud that he was my father-in-law. I owe him a special debt of gratitude, because he was directly responsible for two of the happiest and most exciting moments of my life. He gave me his enthusiastic blessing to ask his first-born daughter, Amy, to marry me; and he proudly walked Amy down the aisle to me on our wedding day. Our marriage, which he did so much to support, then produced three of the greatest joys of all of our lives: Olivia, Billy, and Brooke. My life would not be as blessed without him. For those experiences alone, I owe him a lifetime of gratitude. To you, Dad Tuschak, I say the following. May all your days in heaven be as fun as your childhood days of play at Cannon, Balduck, and Heilman Park. May each day be as passionate as a cafeteria flirt with Mom Tuschak at Michigan State or a rendezvous to smooch with your soul mate in a campus dorm. May each day be as significant as the hundreds of moments you recorded with ink on your bedroom wall on Farmbrook. May every day be as refreshing and pleasant as a hot summerâ€™s night dip in the Ardmore pool. May every day be as precious as the first time you showed your girls the green grass of Tiger Stadium or when you showed your grandchildren the Tuschak brick at Comerica Park. May you savor the simple things of every day as you did when you would patiently search every locker at the Chandler Park Water Park with your curious grandchildren. May each day be as memorable as the last trip to Busch Gardens with Amy and the kids or the final walk with Billy to Turtle Bridge. I could not have asked for a better father-in-law. Mr T was always fair and stuck up for me on at least one occasion when he didn't have to. I haven't seen him since 1995, but I was saddened and shocked to hear that he passed. Thanks, Mr T. You will be missed.

To all the Tuschaks, You and Tom have been intertwined with us for years. Tom enriched everyone around him with his caring, good humor and dialogue. He was our best friend and a friend to all those lucky enough to be included his life script.

Beckie, Judy, Amy and Suzy I have yet to meet another man whose popularity, influence and success crossed so many lines. He was every bit a manâ€™s man, yet he had the ability to empathize with children of all ages. He thrived equally well as a gym teacher in a bucket hat as he did as an administrator in a suit and tie. His most significant achievement is unquestionably his achievements as a father. Judy, Amy, Beckie, Suzy, Sharon and Family How sorry we were to hear about Tom's sudden passing.We lived a few house's away on Ardmore. I don't know how Tom was able to put up with my two childre, but he did. We had a dog that would follow them to schoold, even though they went to LHS several years apart. By the time Steven left Lakeview and Melissa started, Heidi could have found the school blind folded. Tom kept a leash in his desk so the kids could take Heidi home. In Sept of 1990, Melissa called me at work saying that Tom's cat had kittens and that she just had have one.I did not want another pet, after a lot of saying no and Melissa begging for the kitten, I gave in. When she came to pick me up from work that evening, she was very unhappy because someone else took the kitten. I was not all that unhappy.The next day when Melissa picked me up from work, she told me to take my time leaving the office. When I walked outside Melissa was sitting on the lawn, playing with this tiny black ball of fur.She was thrilled, she said that the person who took the kitten couldn't keep her because she was mean and that she had bite everyone in the family. Well, I will admit that Spike did have a bit of a mean streak, but she was also a very loveable cat. That little black fur ball became a family member that we had until 27 Aug 2007. If it was not for Tom, Melissa would not have gotten into college and I know how happy Tom was for her when she graduated. I think that everyone's life was better for having contact with Tom Tuschak. He will be in our memory's forever, and he was Spike's Grandpa. With Deepest Sympathy

Mr Tuschak, I was very sad when I heard you had passed away, I said it was not so! I feel like it was yesterday, you had me in your office and we were just talking about baseball cards, adjusting to a new school and what it is like to live the life you had, and the one for me too look forward too since I was only a freshman at a new school. I was your last class before you retired, you came back to see us walk across that great stage in 2001 and that will never be forgotten. Thanks Mr T for making me the man I am today You will be missed.

Dear Tom, What I will remember the most about you is your sense of humor. You really tried to make everyone - both students and staff - at Lakeview have a better day with your upbeat personality and friendliness. It was impossible not to smile upon seeing your radiant face. You cared so much for our students and always went out of your way to take care of them. Lakeview has not had that same personable quality since you left. You will forever be remembered and missed by all those who knew you!

Dear The Tuschak Family, I apologize for the tardiness of this entry. I just got back from the Middle East when I learned of Mr. T.'s passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. I would like to share one memory I have of Mr. T., which is found in my Senior Spectus. As I was enlisting in the USAF, he wrote, "Ed, GET JETS!!! Mr. T." Well, Mr. T., after all these years and finally getting my commission, I "got jets," flying the B-1B down here in Texas and just returned from my first deployment. That entry was always an inspiration to me to fulfill my dream of flying for the Air Force. Also, thanks for putting up with our barrage of Senior Pranks!!!
